Carcasses of deer, rabbits seized

PERAMBALUR: The Arumbavur police seized carcasses of a deer and a few rabbits along with a country-made gun here on Thursday.

During a vehicle check on the Perambalur-Athur highway, two persons riding a moped, on sighting the police, abandoned it and fled. The carcasses and the gun were found in a gunny bag and were handed over to the Forest Department. — Staff Reporter
