A dolphin that speaks! synopsis

Marine Friends

An imaginative 10-year old boy who has always been fascinated with animals, lives with his Grandpa as his parents who spend most of their time working in the Arctic.

For most part his childhood is lonely, surrounded by all sorts of wonderful marine creatures.

The boy gets a letter from his father informing his inability to attend his birthday due to research work.

He is disappointed but then something curious happens. A dolphin, close companion of the boy, begins to speak!

Hunting

The old forest-guard lives in his house in the middle of the forest.

He has been living in harmony with all the animals of the forest. News arrives that hunters are going to have his animals hunted.

The situation looks hopeless but there is someone who could help the rescue team. Short puppet animation from Latvia.

The Little Teacher

Grandmother Savitramma comes to stay with her daughter and granddaughter as her son-in-law has gone abroad for a few months.

The young child starts teaching her illiterate grandmother and eventually she is capable of writing and wishes to write a letter to her old husband.

Blood Sisters

Seven year-old Sidsel adores her best friend Dea. When Caroline moves into their building, Dea abandons Sidsel but the latter wants her back.

But the harder she tries, the more she is pushed away. The battle for love is on and it soon gets bloody.

Tyger

A giant tiger mysteriously appears in a big city, revealing the hidden reality in an otherwise ordinary night.

It is a short film inspired by William Blake’s eponymous poem. It’s a visual narrative with a structure that is very similar to that of a music promo.

The formal scheme is a blend of many styles and techniques arriving at a balance between the unique perspective of the plot and its inherent image of chaos.

Paul’s Grandpa

Paul, an eight-year old inventor yearns to make his all-time dream come true. He wants to have a grandpa just like all the other children. So he builds himself one and sets about doing things with him he would never dare do alone. Just as he begins to realise that his grandpa could never take the place of a real one, a small miracle happens.
