It has already taken up collection of palm leaf manuscripts, ancient texts etc. from different parts of the country and is digitising them in collaboration with a US-based university.

It was to take the mission further ahead that the TTD’s Central Library and Research Centre on Saturday organised a two-day national seminar to discuss threadbare various aspects of collection and conservation of palm leaf manuscripts. It has invited more than 40 specialists in the field from all over the country to use their expertise to prepare a blueprint for the uphill task it has taken upon itself.

Formally inaugurating the seminar, the TTD Trust Board Chairman B. Karunakar Reddy appealed to the institutions and individuals in possession of palm leaf manuscripts or ancient texts etc. to hand them over to the TTD .TTD’s Executive Officer K.V. Ramanachary said that on the basis of the outcome of the experts’ meet, the TTD would hammer out an action plan to go about the mission in a meticulous manner.
