Over 100 IIM-B students to intern abroad

Bangalore: All 249 students of the 2007-09 batch of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B) have been offered summer placements; of them about 110 will intern abroad, an official of the institute said.

Vikram Bala, member of the placement committee, IIM-B, said more than 110 students were offered internships abroad compared to 101 last year.

Among the girl students, more than 40 per cent were going abroad and pursuing careers in investment banks and management consultancy firms, Mr. Bala said.

The international roles on offer included management firms like McKinsey, BCG, Bain and Co, and Arthur D Little offering positions in Europe, New York, Australia, Middle East and Singapore. — PTI
