NAMAKKAL: A team of officials rescued four children who were found employed in industrial units recently. On instructions from Collector G. Sundaramurthi, the team raided a spinning mill in Pallipalayam area and found two children employed in it. They rescued the children and admitted them in the special schools run by the Indo-US project for child labour abolition, a release said. The team also raided brick kilns in Thuraiyur road and rescued a child engaged in one of the units. Officials also rescued another child who was found employed in a power loom unit in Kondappanaickanpatti.
