ASI killed in accident

VIZIANAGARAM: Kosuru Satyanarayana Raju (49), Assistant Sub-Inspector of police attached to Bhogapuram police station was killed and home guard S.Vasudeva Rao sustained injuries when the scooter they were riding hit a stationary truck from behind on the NH-5 at a petrol bunk near Rajapulova late on Monday night, according to Ch. Papa Rao, Circle Inspector. They were on night patrolling duty.

Bhogapuram Sub-Inspector S.Tirumala Rao, who was following them in his vehicle rushed them to Sukhibava, a private nursing home, here where the doctors declared the ASI brought dead.
