Rangayana to enthral theatre lovers in Bijapur

‘Rangayatre’ in northern Karnataka districts


BIJAPUR: The Government-sponsored repertory, Rangayana, will organise a three-day theatre festival here from November 26.

It is part of the “Rangayatre” being organised by the troupe in the northern Karnataka districts.

In a statement, Assistant Director, Kannada and Culture, Shashikala Huded, and event coordinator, G.N. Deshpande, said that theatre personality Enagi Balappa would inaugurate the programme at Kandgal Hanamantharaya Ranga Mandir here.

B.R. Arishanagodi, senior theatre artiste, and Chidambar Rao Jambe, Director of Rangayana, would take part in the event, he said.

After the inaugural event at 6.30 p.m., the Rangayana troupe would stage “Krishnegowdana Aane”.

The admission is free, they said.
