‘Nationalise mining’

BANGALORE: Commenting on the political scenario in the State, writer U.R. Ananthamurthy on Tuesday said the situation will not improve unless mining operations are nationalised.

Speaking to presspersons before attending the Rajyotsava celebrations organised by the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation Kannada Kriya Samithi here, Prof. Ananthamurthy said that production from mining operations, after nationalisation, should be restricted for domestic consumption.

Kannada Development Authority Chairman Siddalingaiah was present.
