President’s Rule

NEW DELHI: Karnataka on Tuesday came under President’s Rule for the second time in over a month as President Pratibha Patil signed the proclamation after receiving the Cabinet’s recommendation.

The Cabinet met just before the Prime Minister left for Singapore and recommended the imposition of President’s Rule and keeping the Assembly under suspended animation while the dissolution proposal would be brought before Parliament on Wednesday. — PTI
