Ekadasi celebrated at Guruvayur

Guruvayur: Ekadasi was celebrated at the Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple on Wednesday.

Tens of thousands of devotees visited the temple. Long queues were seen in front of the temple the whole day. Kazhcha Seeveli was held in the morning. Guruvayur Devaswom performed the ‘Udayasthamana Puja’ (dawn-to-dusk

ceremonies).

The temple offered food (Prasada Oottu) to about 30,000 devotees.

Performance of a few veteran musicians brought the curtain down on the Chembai music festival. The festival began on November 7 with a Carnatic vocal recital by M. Balamuralikrishna.
