Banking on ‘eco-nomics’

Kochi: Corporate social responsibility can extend to a wide spectrum of activities. This was enunciated by R.Seetharaman, CEO of Doha Bank, last week while addressing a meeting on global warming and climate change. The banker, who hails from India, has addressed meetings across the world on issues pertaining to ecology and economics, which he calls ‘eco-nomics.’ The need to develop environmentally sustainable businesses should become stronger so that the globe remains a healthy place to live, he says. — Staff Reporter
