MUMBAI: Communications consultant Ramesh Narayan released on Wednesday his book, ‘Reflections’ – The marketing and advertising world around me,’ at a function here. The book is based on his experience in the Indian advertising and marketing industry and provides an insider’s view of its functioning. Mr. Narayan ran his own advertising agency Canco Advertising for many years before deciding to wind up the business and become a consultant. The launch function was attended by the who’s who of Mumbai’s advertising fraternity. Sharing the dias with Mr. Narayan were Pradeep Guha, CEO, Zee Telefilms, Nasser Munjee, Chairman, Development Credit Bank, N. Murali, Managing Director, The Hindu, and Gautam Rakshit, Managing Director, Ad Avenues. At the launch, the speakers recounted their experiences in dealing with Mr. Narayan and his agency. Mr. Narayan announced that the sale proceeds of the book would be donated to ‘Alert India’, a non-governmental organisation that works towards the education, rehabilitation and treatment of Leprosy in India. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
