Thumping win for Guntur

VIJAYAWADA: Guntur registered an innings and 203 runs victory against West Godavari in the ACA Central Zone u-13 inter-district cricket tournament for R.M.V. Narasimha Rao memorial trophy at Loyola Public School grounds at Guntur on Friday. The tie between Krishna and Prakasam ended in a draw.

The scores: West Godavari 73 and 54 in 16 overs (Mahesh four for 19, Lords three for two) lost to Guntur 330 for 7 decl. in 90 overs (R. Teja 87 n.o, Chaitanya three for 102).

Krishna 177 and 77 for 5 in 35 overs (Kalyan three for 28) drew with Prakasam 145 in 76 overs (Ch. Kranthi 44, Bhima Rao four for 35, Akarsh three for 25).

Nalanda Vidya Niketan scored a facile 146-run victory over Noble Kids Public School while Flora Public School defeated Kumar Public School by eight wickets in the Krishna District Cricket Association’s inter-schools tournament for Nori Sivaramakrishna memorial trophy here on Friday.

The scores: Nalanda 209 for 8 in 35 overs (Rahul 57) bt Noble Kids PS 63 in 21 overs (Rohit five for 13, Harthik three for 17).

Kumar PS 33 in 18 overs (Srikanth four for six) lost to Flora PS 34 for 2 in 6.1 overs. — Sports Reporter
