Sabatini wins again

HYDERABAD: Sabatini Ankaraju claimed her third girls’ under-14 singles title, defeating Amla 6-3, 6-4 in the AITA Talent Series tournament at the NVK Academy, Madhapur on Friday. In the semifinals, she blanked Moulika Ram 6-0, 6-0.

The 12-year-old had won the AITA Talent Series at Nanded recently, subduing Mumbai’s Sneha Devi Reddy 9-4 in the final and Avani Gosavi 9-3 in the semifinals. In September, Sabatini had emerged champion in the Punjab leg of the same series.
