Anand Pawar in last eight

Bangalore: Anand Pawar entered the quarterfinals of the Scottish Open badminton championship at Glasgow.

Anand upset Danish star Jan O Jorgensen 21-14, 23-21 in the opening round and then beat Scott Evans (Ireland’s No.1) 21-14, 21-18 and French No.1 Erwin Kehlhoffner 21-13, 21-19.

Meanwhile, in the women’s event, Aditi Mutatkar lost to Japan’s Kanako Yonekura 16-21, 18-21 in the pre-quarterfinals.
