Assam, Manipur, Orissa and Goa in quarterfinals

Dindigul: Assam beat Madhya Pradesh 5-0 for its second win in the Cluster ‘E’ preliminary league to qualify for the quarterfinal group league of the sixth junior girls’ National football championship here on Monday.

In another inconsequential match in Cluster ‘B’ in which Tamil Nadu had already qualified for the quarterfinal league, Chhattisgarh beat Gujarat 4-0.

Manipur, Orissa and Goa also qualified for the quarterfinal group league.

Cluster ‘A’: Chhattisgarh 4 (Shaba Praveen 4) bt Gujarat 0; Manipur 23 (Bala Devi 12 (incl. three-hat-tricks), L. Madhabidevi 4, Ngoubibevi 3, K. Rashi Devi 2, Naocha Devi, N. Roma Devi) bt Chhattisgarh 0.

Cluster ‘B’: Uttar Pradesh 2 (Sandhya Choukan, Sainai) bt Jammu & Kashmir 0.

Cluster ‘D’: Kerala 12 (M. Nejuminnisa 2, K. Dhanya 2, K. Reshmi 3, C.M. Barisha 2, A. Sankavi, A. Hefast, M. Reshmi) bt Delhi 0.
