JCT beats Bagan

KOLKATA: JCT Mills pulled off a fine show of aggression to down home favourite Mohun Bagan 2-1 in the concluding match of the first round of I-League football here at the Salt Lake Stadium on Monday.

Brazilian striker Eduardo Da Silva, who was later adjudged the man-of-the-match, struck both the goals to help JCT snatch full three points and begin its campaign in right earnest.

Shanmugam Venkatesh reduced the margin for the loser. — Principal Correspondent
