State tourist guide training for 400

THANJAVUR: The Tamil Nadu Tourism Department and Tamil Nadu Mahalir Mempattu Kazhagam have decided to jointly organise a tourist guide tranining programme for 400 persons.

The training will take place for thirteen days. Diploma holders in the age group of 20 to 40 can apply for the training. For scheduled castes and tribes and backward class people, age relaxation is available. Applications should reach the Director, Tourism department, Tourist complex, No. 2, Walaja Road, Chennai-2 before November 30. Applications can be had from tourist officers at Chennai, Mamallapuram, Trichy, Thanjavur, Madurai, Rameswaram, Kanyakumari, Kodaikanal, and Ooty.
