Ornaments stolen from Maruti van

Gold ornaments weighing 22 tolas and Rs. 18,000 were stolen from a Maruti van parked at Millennium Gardens in Trimulgherry police station area on Monday night. A businessman from Bhongir in Nalgonda district complained that he, along with his family members, came to attend a function at the Millennium Gardens and kept the jewellery and cash in the car. After returning to Bhongir on Tuesday morning, they realised that the jewellery and the cash were stolen from the bag.

Woman’s body found

An unidentified woman in her mid-20s was found murdered at a secluded place on Venkateswarlu Hills at Rajendranagar on Tuesday. The killers smashed the victim’s head with boulders. Dishevelled clothes on the body raised suspicions of sexual assault. Forensic doctors, however, are yet to confirm it, the police said.

Boy killed in accident

A seven-year-old boy Karthik Rao was killed, while his parents escaped with injuries when an RTC bus hit the motorcycle they were travelling on near Golconda Crossroads on Monday night. Rao’s parents live in Chikkadpally. They were going home after attending a function. The boy is a third standard student.
