122 children undergo heart surgeries

KARIMNAGAR: Hrudaya Spandana, an ambitious programme initiated by the district administration to provide medical assistance to the children suffering from various heart ailments, had so far facilitated heart surgeries to about 122 children at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad.

In a press note here on Wednesday, district immunization officer Dr. Aleem said that in the first phase they enabled surgeries for 76 children and 34 surgeries in second phase followed by 12 in the third phase on Wednesday.

The Hrudaya Spandana team led by its vice-chairman Balakrishna, members Aleem, Vijayabhaskar, Bhaskar Rao, Satyanarayanaand others visited Apollo Hospital on Wednesday.
