Srinagesh quits GHIAL

HYDERABAD: T. Srinagesh, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL), which is building the greenfield airport at Shamshabad, has resigned from the GMR Group of companies.

Chief Financial Officer Rajagopal Swamy has been appointed the new COO. The GHIAL has confirmed the news. Company spokesman said Mr. Srinagesh would help the GHIAL as a consultant until the commissioning of the airport in March next year. The board of directors of the company accepted the resignation on Nov. 18. Mr. Srinagesh, who joined the GMR Group in 2003, had been made the COO of the GHIAL ever since the Hyderabad International Airport project was taken up.
