Bangalore: The Central Crime Branch staff has arrested a Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) employee who had allegedly cheated a private vehicle finance company of Rs. 64 lakh. The police have recovered 10 lorries from the accused and took five more lorries into their possession for verification. The police gave the name of the arrested as Mohammed Rafiq (42), a resident of Sardar Vallabai Patel Road, Banashankari, in Tumkur. He had allegedly obtained loans from Sriram Transport Finance Company Ltd. on the strength of fake documents and had not repaid the loans. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
