Dibrugarh: Ten people were injured in a stampede following a rumour that a bomb blast had occurred in the Bordumsa area of Tinsukia district of Assam on Wednesday. Police said panic spread in the bazaar area after a loud noise that was caused by a tyre burst. The people ran helter skelter and in the stampede that followed, 10 sustained injuries. Army men, who were on a patrol in the area, shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
