NEW DELHI: Jagdish Mukhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, has been booked by the North Delhi police on charges of assaulting a head constable on duty on Wednesday. The incident took place in the afternoon when two media persons went to meet Prof. Mukhi at Old Secretariat. The guard on duty did not allow them to take their camera inside. Around the same time, Prof. Mukhi arrived there and allegedly slapped the head constable. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
