Rare surgery

Rourkela: In a rare surgery, doctors of the Ispat General Hospital of the Rourkela Steel Plant have successfully operated upon a 70-year-old woman who was suffering from glaucoma and cataract in both her eyes.

Shantamma Reddy of Chhatrapur village of Ganjam district had lost her right eye due to an unsuccessful surgery earlier. She came to Rourkela as a last resort to restore vision in her left eye, hospital sources said on Friday.
