Charter flight for city on December 5

BHUBANESWAR: Courtesy a collaborative initiative of the city-based international tour operator ‘Travel Link’ and Orissa tourism, a charter flight carrying high profile American tourists will land at the Biju Pattnaik airport here on December 5.

Briefing the media, Tourism Minister Debiprasad Mishra said that on its maiden trip to the State, the charter flight would bring 74 tourists and 15 crew members in a Boeing 757 that has been converted into a business class to accommodate 74 travellers instead of its capacity to fly 233 people.

During their three-day sojourn to Orissa, they are scheduled to visit a number of heritage sites in the golden triangle of Bhubaneswar-Puri-Konark. It includes visit to the ancient temples of Bhubaneswar, the Ashokan rock edicts at Dhauli and Pipili appliqué village.
