Nirmala, the World No. 1 and 2 respectively, bagged the women’s doubles title in the ninth National inter-institutional carrom championship at the Regional Sports Centre here on Friday. Indian Airlines’ internationals A. Maria Irudayam and E. Magimairaj won the men’s doubles honours, beating their teammates R.M. Shankara and M. Nataraj in straight sets.
