Review: K.R.Ramasamy, Chairman, and other members of the Public Accounts Committee, at a meeting in Tiruvarur on Friday. TIRUVARUR: Members of Public Accounts Committee of Tamil Nadu Assembly, led by its chairman K. R. Ramasamy, inspected various development works in Tiruvarur district on Friday. Committee members visited Tiruvarur Government Hospital and instructed officials to provide additional beds there. Mr. Ramasamy asked them to improve sanitation at the hospital. Drainage workThe committee members inspected the progress of work on an underground drainage scheme being implemented in Tiruvarur at a cost of Rs.40 crore. They instructed the officials to expedite the works and ensure that road traffic was not affected due to the works. The committee members reviewed the progress of various development works taken up in the district at a meeting held later in the day. Collector M.Chandrasekaran and other officials participated. Later speaking to reporters, Mr.Ramasamy said the committee has visited 11 districts, including Tiruvarur so far. He also expressed satisfaction over the progress of development works in Tiruvarur.
