Film to create awareness on AIDS

CHENNAI: Woven around the moves of a chess game on a rainy night in the city, the film ‘Adutha Kattam’ seeks to create awareness of HIV/AIDS and conveys a vital message: there is hope for those affected by the virus.

A support system exists and the most important thing is to remain positive. Produced by Scope International, a subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank, the film has been directed by Lakshmi and Saraswati and stars Rohini and Prem Sai. “The issue is very close to my heart,” said Rohini. Shashi Ravichandran, head of Corporate Affairs of Scope International, said the film was part of an ongoing awareness programme.

‘Adutha Kattam’ will be screened on December 1, on Star Vijay at 6.30 p.m.
