Another feather for Mahanadi Coalfields

BHUBANESWAR: Another feather in the cap of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited was added with the opening of the Kulda open cast project (OCP) for extraction of coal on Saturday.

The foundation stone of the coal mine was unveiled by Sundergarh MP Jual Oram in the presence of former minister Kishore Chandra Patel, MCL’s Director (Technical) V.K.Jain and Director (Finance) B. Mohapatra. The OCP with a targeted capacity of 10 MTY is expected to cater to the needs of the power sector.
