TDP seeks probe into land allocation

HYDERABAD: The TDP has sought a high-level inquiry into the allocation of a two-acre piece of valuable land in Lakshmipuram village of Pedavegi mandal (West Godavari district) to a woman,V. Jayaprada. In a press release, TDP legislators E. Dayakar Rao and P. Keshav alleged that the allocation was made at the behest of a senior adviser to the Chief Minister. They regretted that the aide was turning into an extra-constitutional authority. The land in survey number 556/2 was valuable and was given away by Government at no cost, thanks to his intervention, they claimed. –Special Correspondent
