Protest against KCR’s praise

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Joint Action Forum will take up a programme of ‘washing with milk’ all memorials and ‘stupas’ in Adilabad district, to protest against the remarks made by Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao praising the VII Nizam’s rule.

Ramesh Hazari, coordinator, said Mr. Rao’s praise of the Nizam’s rule was an insult to martyrs who participated in the struggle against the despot. The memorials to be covered in the three-day programme commencing Monday include those in Indervelli, Utnoor, Nirmal, Itchoda, Adilabad and Bodhan.

There would be a meeting near the memorial of Komaram Bheem at Jodeghat wherein 1,000 candles would be lit as a mark of respect to the martyrs.
