MANGALORE: National Institute of Technology-Karnataka (Srinivasnagar) emerged champion in the men’s section of the basketball tournament, conducted by the Nitte Education Trust for the Justice K. S. Hegde Foundation Cup, here. NIT-K defeated N.M.A.M.I.T. (Nitte) 52-36 in its final league match to clinch the title. Justice K. S. Hegde Basketball Foundation, which defeated M.B.C. (Mangalore) 69-48, finished second. M.B.C. was third. In all, 24 teams took part in the tournament. Other results: High School: Boys: 1. Blazers (Mangalore), 2. Canara HS Main (Dongerkery); 3.
