Andhra Natyotsavam from Dec. 8

HYDERABAD: In an attempt to save the traditional dance forms of Andhra Pradesh such as ‘Andhra Naatyam’, and ‘Perini Shiva Tandavam’ from slipping into oblivion, the Potti Sriramulu Telugu University is conducting ‘Perini, Andhra Natyotsavam’ on a grand scale on December 8, 9 and 10 in Warangal.

Announcing the details of the festival at a press conference here on Saturday, Telugu University Vice Chancellor Avula Manjulatha said that they are hoping to organise the festival each year. The festival will be on the lines of the ‘Kuchipudi Natyotsavam’ that was initiated last year.

Also present at the press conference was the eminent dance maestro and researcher Nataraja Ramakrishna who will be felicitated in a grand way during the inaugural function.
