No sweat for JKC College

VIJAYAWADA: Guntur’s JKC College defeated Andhra Loyola College (ALC) by 10 wickets in the Acharya Nagarjuna University inter-collegiate (inter-zonal) cricket tournament here on Monday.

The scores: ALC (Vijayawada) 102 in 25.3 overs lost to JKC College (Guntur) 103 for no loss in 11.2 overs (Sankar 82 not out).

S. Mounica Sai will lead the Andhra Cricket Association’s u-19 team for the South Zone (inter-state) one-day tournament.

Nandigama’s DVR XI defeated Vasu XI by three runs in the KDCA ‘B’ division league tournament here on Monday.

The scores: DVR XI (Nandigama) 94 in 29.3 overs bt Vasu XI 91 in 22.2 overs.

Modern XI 78 in 19 overs (Ramesh five for 20, Lokesh four for 20) lost to Ramesh XI 82 for six in 20 overs (Tirupati four for 20).

Nalanda HS posts win

Nalanda High School defeated Goutham Public School by two wickets in the super-league of the KDCA inter-school tournament on Monday.

The scores:

Goutham PS 98 in 42 overs (Harshul three for 23) lost to Nalanda HS 99 for eight in 40.1 overs (Sai Kumar five for 11).
