NEW DELHI: Stung by party rebels openly projecting veteran leader Keshubhai Patel as their patron in poll-bound Gujarat, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday gave hints that it would take action. “We will certainly take note of that. It is a serious development,” senior party leader Sushma Swaraj told reporters here when her reaction was sought on an advertisement brought out by rebels carrying an appeal by Mr. Patel. The advertisement was brought out by Sardar Patel Utkarsh Samiti, an organisation floated by BJP rebels. It features an earlier statement of Mr. Patel that “a change was required” in Gujarat. — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
