Easy for Kollam

KOTTAYAM: Kollam and Alappuzha recorded wins in the South Zone under-13 inter-district cricket tournament here on Tuesday. Kollam defeated Kottayam by 27 runs while Alappuzha scored a six-wicket win over Thiruvananthapuram.

The scores: Kollam 142 for four in 35 overs (Rahul Sharma 37, Mohd Ansal 34 no) bt Kottayam 115 in 26.4 overs (Shoaib Jamal 32, Najmal Khan three for 29, Ananthu R. Nair three for six)

Thiruvananthapuram 164 for nine in 35 overs (Sanju V. Samson 37, Sreejith three for 25) lost to Alappuzha 168 for four in 32.4 overs (Balu Babu 59 no, Vishnu Raj 32).
