Nirmal scores century

TIRUCHI: P.S. Nirmal Kumar scored an unbeaten century as SBIOA Matriculation School defeated Alpha Group of Schools by 116 runs and booked a place in the semifinals of the Tiruchi DCA inter-school knock-out cricket tournament here on Tuesday.

The scores: SBIOA 215 for two in 30 overs (P.S. Nirmal Kumar 104 not out, R. Raghavendran 65 not out) bt Alpha Group of Schools 99 for nine in 30 overs (R. Mukundan four for 10); Government HSS (Musiri) 132 in 20.3 overs (Prabhu 43) lost to Campion AI HSS 133 for five in 22 overs (Daniel 30, V. Gowtham 30); Mahatma Gandhi CV 106 in 28.2 overs (S. Rajaganapathy four for nine) bt Chinmaya Vidhyalaya 85 in 22.2 overs (S. Vijay Viswanath three for 10, L.S. Raghuveer three for six).
