Amateurs in semifinals

KOCHI: Amateurs, Aluva, defeated Ernakulam XI 5-3, via tiebreaker, and entered the semifinals of the Star Homes Cup C.H. Mohammed Koya memorial football tournament at the Fort Kochi Parade Ground on Tuesday evening.

The teams were level 1-1 at the end of regulation period. Suttu gave Ernakulam the lead in the 28th minute while Tomy struck the Amateurs’ equaliser in the 12th minute of the second half.
