All-round show by Shalini

HYDERABAD: Good all-round performance by M. Shalini, who scored 46 and then claimed three for 16, helped Hyderabad record a 37-run win over Karnataka in the second round of the South Zone inter-state senior women’s cricket championship here on Thursday.

The scores: At Gymkhana: Hyderabad 177 for eight in 50 overs (M. Shalini 46) bt Karnataka 140 in 41.1 overs (Veda Krishnamurthy 37, Shalini three for 16).

At NFC: Goa 155 for eight (Shirisha Pandey 66) lost to Andhra 156 for seven in 35.4 overs (Moumita Sai 44).

At ECIL: Tamil Nadu 203 for nine in 50 overs (M.D. Thrish Kamini 40) bt Kerala 135 in 40.3 overs (T. Rakhi 34, Shruthi four for 27).
