CM offers prayers at Tirumala

Spiritual sojourn: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy coming out of Venkateswara temple in Tirumala on Friday.

TIRUMALA: Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Friday offered prayers at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswarsa in Tirumala.

Dr.Reddy reached the main temple complex through the Vaikuntam queue complex like any other common man. On his arrival at the temple ‘mahadwaram’ (main entrance), the temple priests received him with traditional ‘istikapal’ temple honours and was led straight into the sanctum sanctorum where he stood in front of the main deity for more than ten minutes and paid his obeisance.

Later, Dr. Reddy released the TTD calendar for the year 2008 at the temple mahadwaram.
