NEW DELHI: The winter session of Parliament was adjourned sine die on Friday. This was one of the shortest sessions in recent years. With 17 sittings, the session lost much time in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha as the violence at Nandigram emerged the main issue in the initial days, sidelining the nuclear deal. A discussion on Nandigram was held in both Houses despite initial reluctance of CPI(M). — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
