Cash stolen from car

BANGALORE: Thieves smashed the windscreens of a contractor’s car and made away with a bag containing Rs. 6 lakh from the vehicle that was parked at the crowded M.S. building, next to the Vidhana Soudha, on Thursday.

The police said that J.D. Gopal of BTM Layout withdrew Rs. 6 lakh from a bank and came to M.S. building around 2.30 p.m.

He parked the car near the second gate of M.S. building and went to the Revenue Department office. When he returned he found the bag stolen.
