5 militants arrested

VIZIANAGARAM: Police party while combing the Rebba forest area on Andhra-Orissa border on Friday found five militants cooking food for the Maoists who reportedly attended plenary session of the party. Parvathipuram Sub Divisional Police Officer N. Sudershana Rao told The Hindu on Saturday that a police party led by E. Kesava Rao, Komarada Sub-Inspector, while combing, found N. Gurunadh (22), N. Chiranjeevi (20), N. Gopal (30), N. Surya Rao (28) and N. Satyam (55) preparing food and seized two hand grenades, and Rs. 76,635 cash.
