They win first, third, sixth and 40th positions Prasenjith Kundu bagged 1st rank by scoring 97/100 Rajahmundry: Students of ONGC Kendriya Vidyalaya here topped the “Xth All India Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangatan Junior Mathematics Olympiad 2007-08” held at Vijayawada. They wonfirst, third, sixth and 40th positions. In a press release on Monday, the Kendriya Vidyalaya said Mathematics Olympiad was a talent search test conducted in all-India basis and toppers of this KVS Olympiad would be sent for the national and international level Olympiads. Students from ONGC, Rajahmundry have competed with more than 1000 KVs across the country and won the top honours. Prasenjith Kundu bagged 1st rank by scoring 97/100, A. Yashasvi got 3rd rank by scoring 85/100. Other toppers are R. Lokaditya (6th rank), Reddy Mounica (40th rank) and P.S. Venkat (40th rank) and all are studying 10th class. Meanwhile, Sri Gowtami students bagged seven ranks in the national level Association of Mathematics Teachers of India Maths Olympiad. According to Correspondent Sunkara Ravi Kumar, the students won top ranks in primary, sub-junior and junior levels. The winners are B. Krishna Pramod (9th Rank), K. Devi Prasanth (11th Rank), GSN Iswarya (14), JSLD Tejeswini (16), B. Surekha (17), T. Manojkumar (17), CK Sivadinesh (18) and K. Sannihit (24). Fastest boyAP Paper Mills Model High School’s 9th Class student K. Sudheer Kumar got ‘Fastest boy of the meet’ title in 100 m race in zonal and district level athletics meet. He stood first in long jump and 200 m, 400 m running. Klayani Radha of 10th Class got bronze medal in shot put. Pandari, 8th Class student, won second place in throw ball in AP School Games.
