Elderly man killed

An elderly man died after he was run over by a train at Hi-Tech City railway station on Sunday.

The railway police said Shaik Abdul Raheem (60), a resident of Hafeezpet, was crossing the tracks when the incident took place.

Woman commits suicide

A 55-year-old woman who attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze at her residence at Singareni Colony in Saidabad on Friday, died while undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital on Monday.

The police said Yadamma (55) killed herself following a family dispute.
