CHENNAI: Andhra clinched the top spot in the senior South Zone women’s hockey championship which concluded at the SDAT-Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium here on Monday. It thus qualified for the National to be held at Jalandhar. Karnataka came second. In the four-team round-robin league, Tamil Nadu finished last. The results (league): Andhra 6 (Soundarya 2, Durgadevi, Sathyavathi, Mamata & Alekya) bt TN 1 (Rasna). Best player awards: Rasna and Lakshmi (both TN); A.K.
