Marriage assistance

PUDUKOTTAI: Collector D. Uthirakkumaran gave away Rs.4.35 lakh to 29 persons under the ‘Moovalur Ramamirtham Memorial Marriage Assistance’ scheme on Monday.

He also gave away the assistances sanctioned by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare on the occasion. District Revenue Officer G. Prakasam was among those who were present.

Paddy centres

PUDUKOTTAI: Collector D. Uthirakkumaran has urged farmers to market their paddy at the Decentralised Procurement Centres in the district during the ‘kharif’ season. In a press release issued here on Monday, the Collector said that the State Government had hiked the procurement price and incentive this year.
