RBI releases State finances report

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India on Thursday released a report on State Finances: A study of budgets of 2007-08, in which it asked the State governments to make efforts to enhance transparency by providing adequate details in their budgets on items such as outstanding and contingent liabilities and subsidies.
