Cultural festival to mark Vaikunda Ekadasi at Srirangam

TIRUCHI: The Department of Arts and Culture will host a cultural festival at Srirangam Rangathaswamy Temple from December 17 to 19 coinciding with the Vaikunda Ekadasi festival.

The programme on December 17 will include ‘mangala isai’ by students of District Government Music School.

It will be followed by Tamizhisai by R. Kashyap Mahesh, Bharathanatyam performance by Thushara and party and Kathak by Sushmita Banerjee.

On December 18, M. Meera-M. Nandaja and Revathi Gopalakrishnan will render Tamizhisai.

This will be followed by Bharathanatyam by Balasaraswathi and Odissi by Orissa Kala Vikas Kendra.

Violin concert

On December 19, the programmes at the temple will include a violin concert by S. Raghavashiman, Tamizhisai by Koviladi R. Madhwa Prasad, Bharathanatyam by Sujitha-Usha Nandhini, chambalpuri dance by Orissa Kala Vikas Kendra and Bharathanatyam by Jayanthi Ramachandran.
